With all plates present, with a superior collection of colour plates depicting the changing costume over the previous century. A very good volume, the board corners and spine tips rubbed and bumped, the boards firm though with a few cracks appearing. The binding itself very firm and square. Some faint offsetting and toning, sporadically throughout. Ex libris of Peter Arkwright to the front pastedown. Some other creases, light stains throughout, but an attractive volume overall. Uncommon.
